PAC – Pattaya Animal Coalition กลุ่มพิทักษ์สัตว์พัทยาแห่งประเทศไทย was called out Monday afternoon to investigate a possible dog meat restaurant in the Jomtien area by a concern citizen that reported it to Soi Dog foundation. People close to PAC have complained that dogs are missing in the Jomtien area and that there is a slaughterhouse for dogs somewhere in the Pattaya vicinity. To our relief the restaurant gave us full cooperation and let us look through all the stocks of meat, no slaughtered dogs were found. However there been reports in the Pattaya Media that guest workers are catching and eating dogs in the Jomtien area. Just the last few days we got a report that more dogs are also missing at the Big Buddha Hill temple and the City Hall security guards working there confirmed two rapes of female dogs last month.
Never allow Pattaya to be a center for dog meat trade or allow our tourist destination to serve dog meat.

บ่ายวันจันทร์นี้กลุ่มพิทักษ์สัตว์พัทยาแห่งประเทศไทยถูกเรียกให้ออกไปสำรวจร้านอาหารในย่านการค้าหลักแถวจอมเทียน ซึ่งคาดว่าน่าจะนำเนื้อสุนัขมาทำเป็นอาหาร โดยมีสมาชิกของ PAC ได้ร้องเรียนเข้ามาว่า มีสนัขศูนย์หายไปจากบริเวณดังกล่าว และคาดว่าน่าจะมีโรงกังขังสุนัขอยู่บริเวณนี้ หลังจากความร่วมมืออย่างดีจากทางร้าน ซึ่งปล่อยให้เจ้าหน้าที่สำรวจทุกๆ ส่วน แม้แต่ตู้แช่เนื้อทางร้านก็ให้เราเข้าไปสำรวจ สุดท้ายเราก็ไม่พบเนื้อสุนัขที่นี้ ซึ่งก็เป็นที่น่าดีใจอย่างยิ่ง
แต่อย่างไรก็ตาม เราก็ยังได้ยินข่าวจากจากพัทยามีเดีย ว่ามีแรงงานในจอมเทียนบางคน จับสุนัขไปบริโภคเป็นอาหาร และสองสามวันที่ผ่านมาเราได้รับรายงานว่ามีสุนัขศูนย์หายไปจากวัดพระใหญ่เขาพระตำหนักพัทยา และรายงานจากผู้รักษาความปลอดภัยได้ยืนยันว่ามีสุนัขเพศเมีย 2 ตัวได้ถูกลักพาตัวไปในเดือนที่ผ่านมา
